How you can get rid your tree once the festive season is over?

If you have a real Christmas tree, you may be wondering how you can get rid of it once the festive season is over. Well, you have multiple options! 

You could try getting it in your garden waste collection bin if you pay for that service and the tree is small enough to fit. But be warned most councils won't collect trees or branches over 10cm thick! 

The next way to get rid of your Christmas tree would be to take it to the local council recycling centre. If you have a vehicle or trailer that can carry it safely. 

Another way is to visit one of your local Christmas tree collection points. Check your local council website to find out if they provide the service, as not all councils do. 

Alternatively you could call a local waste collection service to collect it for a fee. If you do, we recommend saving up all the festive waste and any other bits of old junk you may want to get rid of too!
